The Printmaking process is one that involves transformation and discovery. In the courses the students explore both the making of watercolour and oil-based monotypes. They will also learn other printmaking techniques such as liftprints and chine collé.
Students will receive individual attention regarding drawing, painting, and composition and learn to print using a manual press. Along with technique students are introduced to different papers, materials, and the experience of working in a studio atmosphere. The workshops open new possibilities for expression while exploring colour, form and line. There is discussion and class critiques throughout.
